First organized as the Holy Cross Parish in 1915, the Holy Trinity Cathedral‘s structure was completed in 1916. The parish was renamed Holy Trinity Church when it aligned with the Polish National Catholic Church in 1930 and then became the Cathedral for the Eastern Diocese of the Polish Catholic Church in 1952. Designed by local architect William M. Butterfield, the church is built in the Polish Cathedral style which incorporates Renaissance and Baroque elements into its design, reflecting the tastes of Polish parish members of the time.
