The Church\u2019s current <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Federal_architecture\" target=\"_blank\">Federal style<\/a> structure, built in 1850, was designed by <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sidney_Mason_Stone\" target=\"_blank\">Sidney Mason Stone<\/a> and was inspired by the <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"http:\/\/seththompson.info\/sacredspacesne\/center-church-on-the-green-new-haven-connecticut\/\" target=\"_blank\">Center Church on-the-Green<\/a> in New Haven, Connecticut. Following in the footsteps of its founders, the First Unitarian Church continues, \u201cto preserve the freedom of each of us to determine for ourselves what we believe and how we should live. We are open to the wisdom of world religions.
