The structure, located on Market Square, was completed in 1855. Seen from most parts of the city, the steeple, as well as the building\u2019s edifice, is constructed in the <a title=\"Italianate style\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Italianate_architecture\" target=\"_blank\">Italianate style<\/a>, which references 16th-century Italian Renaissance architecture. North Church has a notable list of members and visitors, which includes: <a title=\"General William Whipple\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/William_Whipple\" target=\"_blank\">General William Whipple<\/a>, who signed the Declaration of Independence, <a title=\"John Langdon\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/John_Langdon_%28politician%29\" target=\"_blank\">John Langdon<\/a>, signer of the U.S. Constitution and <a title=\"President George Washington\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/George_Washington\" target=\"_blank\">President George Washington<\/a>.
