In 1968, the community built their current church on Hanover Street, which was formally consecrated and elevated to the status of cathedral in 1970. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stgeorgenh.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral<\/a>&#8216;s structure and adjoining community center were designed by Christopher P. Kantianis who drew inspiration from both <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Modernism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">modernism<\/a> and traditional <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Eastern_Orthodox_church_architecture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">orthodox church design<\/a>. The <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Byzantine_art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Byzantine<\/a>-influenced interior artwork was designed by Serio Tonelli and depicts <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Saint_George\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Saint George<\/a> and the history of the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Greek_Orthodox_Church\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Greek Orthodox Church<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Click here to view the 360-degree panoramic image fullscreen on your iPhone or iPad.
