The Church is housed in a largely unaltered 1824&nbsp;Classical Revival meeting house designed by architect Winthrop Clapp, who drew inspiration from Greenfield&#8217;s Second Congregational Church 1819 structure, which was demolished. The First Church of Deerfield, which is also known simply as the Brick Church, is listed as a National Historic Landmark&nbsp;on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Historic_Deerfield\" target=\"_blank\">Old Deerfield Historic District<\/a> not only because of its architectural significance, but it has been considered a central building in the religious and social life of the Deerfield community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Click here to view the 360-degree panoramic image fullscreen on your iPhone or iPad.
